We have compiled this information for you in the interests of your safety and to protect you from the specific hazards associated with a metalworking workshop.

These safety instructions and the guidance they contain apply throughout the entire site.
The parking of motor vehicles
Motor vehicles may only be parked in unmarked or numbered parking spaces. Fire brigade access routes, fire-fighting facilities, transformer stations, traffic routes, emergency exits and manhole covers must always be kept clear!
No unauthorised entry!
Visitors will be met at the reception areas and gates and accompanied by a Polytechnik member of staff whilst on the worksite!
Please observe all prohibition and information signs and follow the instructions of your supervisor(s).
Visitors and delivery companies must report to the site management!
Visitors and business partners are obliged to keep confidential all trade and business secrets and other information that comes to their knowledge.
Safety on site
On the construction site, safety footwear or protective equipment must be worn away from the marked footpaths and in designated areas.
Please be aware of internal transport operations involving industrial trucks, particularly at junctions and in areas with poor visibility.
Speed limit
The Road Traffic Regulations (StVO) apply on the factory premises; however, pedestrians and forklift traffic must be given priority. A speed limit applies on the factory premises. The maximum speed is 10 km/h.
Filming and photography are strictly prohibited.
A temporary exemption may only be granted by the Poly contact person.
Smoking ban
We ask that you refrain from smoking on the factory premises during your stay. Designated smoking areas are available. The consumption of alcoholic drinks and drugs is prohibited.
No naked flames
Do not use naked flames or open fires. Hot work is only permitted with written authorisation (authorisation certificate).
Do not touch!
Machinery and production parts must not be touched or used.
Please do not look directly into the light!
Welding produces intense light which can cause eye damage if looked at directly. Please do not look directly into the light!
Safety distance
A safety distance of 3 metres must be maintained during turning, milling and shredding operations.
Liquids hazardous to water
Liquids hazardous to water must be handled with particular care. Soil or groundwater contamination must be avoided at all costs. All incidents must be reported immediately to the PolyZentrale via the emergency hotline. The same applies to any noticeable malfunctions.
Environmental protection
Everyone must behave in such a way on the Polytechnik site as to avoid causing harm to the environment. All relevant environmental regulations must be observed.
Potentially explosive atmospheres
The following applies in potentially explosive atmospheres:
1. Observe the information provided on site,
2. Hot work is prohibited in these areas.
In the event of an alarm
In the event of an alarm, you must strictly follow the instructions given by staff and the emergency services.
In an emergency
Stay calm and leave the building via the marked escape routes, heading towards the assembly point.
